The Matty C Method
I am a passionate piano player and instructor with a deep love for music and teaching. Specializing in Pop, Blues, and Hip-Hop piano, I believe that learning piano should be an exciting and fun experience strongly connected to the student’s favorite music. I believe that for most students, introduction to piano shouldn’t be only focused around learning ancient classical pieces, memorizing scales, and trying to understand abstract musical theory. There is plenty of time for that once we get you playing your favorite songs! With a strong foundation in piano techniques and a wide range of musical styles, I provide a well-rounded learning experience.

I start by creating a list of your favorite songs and then building the lessons around learning those exact tunes, picking up the techniques and music theory along the way!
